Lyrical Analysis of...
The Ghostwriter, A Tale
- CHAPTER 1:
- hilly area, thick and deep dark layers of clouds
- thunderstorms and lightening are crashing
- there's a small hut
- two graves in the backyard..
- both of them are believed to be of the owners
- one of them is dug out by someone
- there's a voice in my head telling me to go to the mailbox, its on repeat
- so... i went to the mailbox and i found a mail
- the voice is now telling me to read it
- i was also curious to know what happened at that place, so i started to unfold the page
- a fierce rage took over my conscience when i saw the sender's name, the mail gave me clues in form of memories flashbacks.. this is what made sense to me as I was reading it:
- "The Killer for Good"
- Flashbacks!
- A friend.... We're laughing...
- eyes blink
- I'm lying on the floor, which is painted with blood...
- someone's still laughing...
- eyes blink
- a voice "they say that the seed of peace will only grow on the soil that is fertilized by decomposition of your heart"..
- eyes blink
- swings a shovel on my face... thud
- back in my conscience
- _
- i went inside the hut and picked up a pencil from a pocket of the coat that was lying on the floor (somehow i knew that i would find a pencil in that coat)
- i started writing... my anger is getting more and more intense as i am writing,
- my reply to the letter:
- "The Killer of Good My Rebirth"
- Flashback!
- it's a callback, escape of the scapegoat
- I'm going to relapse (re lapse, relapse) and I'm gonna start from your throat
- what about that seed.. did it grow peace,
- or was it a deceit and it rot,
- down to my grave? i tore it back (tore is an anagram of rot) up
- wide and crawled outside
- I was the snape (Severus Snape, Snape) of your spell,
- didn't we dwell on our wills?
- Arghh! how did i miss when you rebel (Me as rebelX)
- and snapped (now you're snape) the ends,
- and i spilled (and I'm the spell/spill) on the floor
- get ready to pay your bills when you hear the bell,
- and without soul will you walk through that door
- (the last whistle/bell that will cause death to all human beings, Muslims will understand this indication as its related to Our religion )
- prepare to sell your soul to the Devil.. your own, THE GHOST
- Adios!
- __
- *The last line indicates that the writer is actually a Ghost who is addressing me. (rebel)
- The last line also indicates that the ghost is a devil, that's why i killed him (with a shovel) and now he's back to seek his revenge.
- Read the whole thing from The Ghost's POV and you'll understand it... and enjoy it as well *
- _TO BE CONTINUED___
