Poetry Slam
- Verse 1)
- Brought up as david in a terrain of goliaths
- Lost my train of thought in my mind don't mind my high flyin
- But on the physical level im shackled down by these giants
- Tryna escape to the crazy mental pictures im drawin
- With a stroke across the canvas and a brush to the side
- With my palette set and ready i'm bound to arise
- but bound to the streets not bound to comply
- abound are the robots standardized to pick a side
- but which side's good and which side's the bad one
- which hands you a book while the other a hand gun
- which welcomes you with peace signs up in the air
- other side does the same leave the air in flares
- glares ignite transform into judgement snares
- trapping people up now it's labeled public affairs
- open your eyes, to real eyes and realize
- Being content with current events won't leave you fulfilled
- (Hook)
- Which side would you pick if you had the chance
- If you had a chance where would you stand
- If you had to stand on which leg would it be?
- If you could choose the leg are you really free?
- If you had to stand on which leg would it be?
- If you could choose the leg are you really free?
- (Verse 2)
- here's a situation ill let ya'll be the judge
- three friends arabic, african and american
- a boy and two girls, two tall one short
- were snaked by another friend, and now pumping adrenaline
- plagued with thoughts from games, shows, and scars
- the only SOLUTION they found was a 9mil to spar
- this is where you come in tell me which one
- was the holder of the gun, who got the job done?
- plot twist think, stop and understand
- stand in place of these people and take it all in
- firsthand, firstly i never gave you any underhand
- information, it could be the allocation
- of your attention to the subject of miscomprehension
- where you begin to assume, and zoom past the point
- of this gloom, appreciate our compassion
- guard our regard and safeguard it in a strongroom
- (Hook)
- Which side would you pick if you had the chance
- If you had a chance where would you stand
- If you had to stand on which leg would it be?
- If you could choose the leg are you really free?

- (Verse 3)
- Now back to the story of the midget and the giant
- one seemed calm while the other defiant
- the giant held his ground unaffected by the battle
- the physically smaller felt it was his time shine
- living with standards that he did not meet
- told what he couldn't do was already defeat
- Yet his feet kept moving toward the great beast
- But something struck him down as he drew to the greet
- he realised this battle was one without a cause
- and the victory came from accepting his differences/ in course
- of bringing about change that he wanted to see
- in the world around him it had to be
- him to start the change initiate the drive
- binge on the nature that you once tried to hide
- bring forth the experience you held back
- don't know to swim but in the deep/ i /dive
- (Hook)
