Lyrical Analysis of...
*Me (Sketch - Verse 1)
- When my first friends died,
- nuh ugh didn't cry,
- couldn't believe it at first,
- took awhile for it sink in and hurt,
- but then shit turned realized the stains on my shirt,
- I knew this isn't the boy mama gave birth.
- High school was staring me in the face
- I knew this territory was fake,
- though it all looked good for me in the beginning
- guess what all looks good must be to me deceiving.
- Makes sense cuz before the drugs 'n all,
- I was always told I was gullible.
- If only I met the thugs 'n brawls,
- before for I coulda said fuck this school.
- But the spotlight that was leading my family off
- the mentality I had that would for sure set 'em off,
- so if I woulda left I woulda kept that image,
- cuz if I wouldn't've stepped then i would of never had lived it.
- But do I regret it,
- (Nuh ugh)
- and would I have kept it.
- (Ugh huh)
- That's why it's so sad to see,
- the advantage I received,
- coming from what was so simply
- my own fucking tragedy.
- From the womb to tomb,
- its only a thrown til your grown,
- and see who is who,
- so ya wanna moan before though,
- laugh now cry later I thought,
- til I looked down, I'm climbing out my crater I dug.
