Lyrical Analysis of...

Mom [2024]

  1. Where should start with how I feel?
  2. The victories we've had or the wounds that never healed?
  3. Over 22 years growing up in that home,
  4. I still don't know what's the first word I ever spoke;
  5. And besides the conflict with my siblings,
  6. There was a point you helped stop it from getting risky,
  7. The times where you were always there for my school,
  8. Made sure my grades were fair, and I knew
  9. That I had parents that really cared for me,
  10. There would be areas we couldn't bare to piece
  11. Back together, needed therapy, I swear on each
  12. Day that things will get better, stop being scared to flee;
  13. That's what you taught me, even it led to trauma,
  14. Stopped speaking to listen, instead get caught on
  15. A web, I can't evolve cuz the horror that went on,
  16. In that house, I still come out saying to my mother:
  17.
  18. //Hook 1:01
  19. Strongest woman I know,
  20. You tell me where to go,
  21. You always made sure I wouldn't fall in a hole;
  22. The things you sacrificed,
  23. Every day of your life,
  24. You will be so tired on the day you retire;
  25. I'm thankful for you,
  26. Every sun and each moon,
  27. In the end it will all be worth it real soon,
  28. Know you're a good Mom;
  29.
  30. But one thing about you that's brought to mind,
  31. Is that you feel like someone attacks you all the time,
  32. We can't yell or curse at you no matter what,
  33. But since we were babies, you mostly did that for months;
  34. And I'm getting very sick of all your religious talks,
  35. You think demons and devils are in us per minute huh?
  36. Now the family is turning on each other, drifting apart,
  37. With all them flaws, I still turn around and say this in a song:
  38.
  39. //Hook 1:52
  40. Strongest woman I know,
  41. You tell me where to go,
  42. You always made sure I wouldn't fall in a hole;
  43. The things you sacrificed,
  44. Every day of your life,
  45. You will be so tired on the day you retire;
  46. I'm thankful for you,
  47. Every sun and each moon,
  48. In the end it will all be worth it real soon,
  49. You're a really great Mom;
  50.
  51. Pushed me away to college, hoping that i make new friendships,
  52. Now you're home, angry I'm not there, wishing for my presence,
  53. Make up your mind Mom! I can't do this anymore!
  54. You've become more toxic, and yes I know I'm very poor!
  55. It's not me blaming you for anything, I'd never do that,
  56. But there are things you did that it seemed spoon fed,
  57. I could say more, but my point about you both is proven,
  58. No one is perfect, so I know you've been the
  59.
  60. //Hook 2:53 End
  61. Strongest woman I know,
  62. You tell me where to go,
  63. You always made sure I wouldn't fall in a hole;
  64. The things you sacrificed,
  65. Every day of your life,
  66. You will be so tired on the day you retire;
  67. I'm thankful for you,
  68. No one can prove,
  69. That you are no good for me, cuz I lived in you,
  70. Do not give up Mom;
  71.
  72. Love you so much [4x]
