Lyrical Analysis of...
The Dreamer
- [Verse One]
- I've been a dreamer forever and ever,
- Getting into any endevore,
- Take your best raps and make sure there shred up,
- No chance of resserection yo chest I will red up,
- There telling us to work hard and dream big,
- But all I'm doing here is digging a ditch,
- There saying if you snitch,
- Yo ass will get lit but I don't give a shit,
- I'm getting outta here,
- wether it take me a month or five years,
- looking around at my peers,
- Seeing that were all crying the same tears,
- Were all falling down a black abyss,
- Call me pussy but I don't think I can do this,
- Others eating lunch while I'm eating a fist,
- because life is kicking my ass why do I excist
- Is this pleaseure or is this pain?
- Because now a days they both feel the same,
- I'm running in circles around this stupid game,
- All I can think about is that its a shame,
- That people will never even know my name.
- [Verse Two]
- Life is what they make it thats what I say,
- I'm blessed to be alive but I'm tired of living today,
- I'ma have "revolutionary" chizzled on my grave,
- I'd say save me but there's nothing left to save,
- Down the road when people come to visit,
- There gonna be saying how my raps are explicit,
- Yelling at myself thinking how can I fix it,
- everything I've got is everything I've given,
- Its my destiny to write this poetry,
- Help people who feel the same as me,
- Help them find what they wanna be,
- Scratch that, what they need to be ya see,
- I'm just trying to do good in my own way,
- But maybe "my own way" isn't the right path to take,
- Maybe everything I'm doing is a huge mistake,
- Those are the thoughts that go through my head every day,
- But still when people ask I still respond with "I'm okay"
- they should know i'm lying cuz I'm going insane.
