Lyrical Analysis of...
Past 12 Months
- The past twelve months for me were very interesting
- Everytime I saved up, I saw things and began investing
- I wanted to fix my grades this year instead of slacking
- My previous middle school years I was barely passing
- So I shaped up myself and started studying for tests
- That's when my mind began to start loving to stress
- But I kept my head up, smile five miles wide
- The schoolwork piled, so did pressure and limelight
- To release myself of stress I joined a dodgeball team
- Several points in the tournament it was all on me
- But I loved this kind of pressure it presented a challenge
- It was even better when we became the student champions
- At the same time I earned a 3.5 grade point average
- I hustled this far, tackling all the bullcrap and havoc
- My report card on June 12, I ripped it open and
- A 3.82 man, all I gotta do is thank God for that
- For the past 12 months I was hustling you see
- Through trials and tribulations it was up to me
- But, I believe that I can take my tasks head on
- Just, keep my hopes up and my head strong (2x)
