BUILDING BLUEPRINT
Next level lyrical insight is a moment away.
Lyrical Analysis of...
Abstinence
- Once upon a time, My friends were hanging with me,
- Playing the game of modern crime, but never literally,
- I was a blonde holding a rifle as I shot some ones and zeroes,
- All of us killing, fulfilling playing rugged urban heroes,
- Meanwhile, a man in blue wakes up to read a list to do,
- He's got a gun and got a crew, but with the crime, he had no clue,
- To him, the sky is always blue, living a life missin' of treason,
- His pay at work is decent, and his life is never breezin'
- Back to us, who were chillin' and were killin' with no reason,
- Buying better weapons so our blows would grow, increasin',
- And even though we weren't really living lives in the game,
- We took to Wrath, all the while indulging sex and the fame,
- Now, the truth is, scientifically, we're not gonna kill,
- We're never gonna try to use the game to better out skill,
- We had no real interest in murder or the filling of graves,
- We simply used the ones and zeroes as a way to behave,
- Saving people is an option, helping out's a better cause,
- And besides, it's better just to animate the human loss,
- Way back when, the world was more or less a literal mess,
- Where all the people who saved princesses held tight to her dress,
- It's the best case scenario to fill up our need,
- By letting NPC's get "hit" instead of relatives bleed,
- So when we all sat around and held these social events,
- There's no telling just how many massacres this prevents.
