Lyrical Analysis of...
I'll be here
- You wish you could be different than who you are, so that’s your wish for tonight’s star
- I wish I may I wish I might, have this wish I wish for tonight
- Because you wish you could be someone new, cuz your just so done being the real you
- People don’t know what you’re going through, they don’t know it from your point of view
- That’s when your soul fills with doubt, cuz now you want to hide your face and never go out
- but you look in the mirror and see your reflection, you see rejection and I see perfection, you think you will fail society’s inspection, while I just raise my hand and scream objection
- but this isn’t a court and you're not the judge here, you're messing up the rules and not playing fair
- you're not even on your own side, you think the answer to life is to give up and die
- Looking at the rules that's not the game at all, if you die now then I will fall
- Cuz all that matters is you're beautiful to me, it kills me to know you don’t see what i see
- Don’t compare yourself to the girls on TV, cuz your already beautiful you gotta believe
- your perfect that’s what you are, even underneath all your hidden scars
- I know what you’ve been through I know what you’ve done, I know all your problems on your shoulders weigh a ton
- You want to get away so you start to run, praying for them to go away so you’ll see sun
- You try but the clouds are in the way, and you're just wishing for the day they go away
- Then that’s when the doubts go to your head, and you now understand what’s truly being said
- You're done with all the lies and the hate, you know they’re lying when people say they can relate
- But you're already planning your own death date, just having faith it will all be okay
- But the words go to your head and won’t disappear, you wish you were the only one here
- You know you would be all alone, but sometimes that's the best way to go
- You can sit through the silence and think through it all, decide whether to fall or stand tall
- You stand tall not for yourself but for me, without you being strong I don’t know where I’d be
- Without you who I lean on, I would have fallen and I would’ve been gone
- And when I did fall you caught me, but you picked me up and I was set free
- I wrote you a song instead of a letter, because I thought rapping my emotions was better
- I wanted my emotions in my voice to come out, so you could truly know what the song was about
- Now I must thank you with all my heart, because if it wasn’t for you I would’ve fallen apart
