BUILDING BLUEPRINT
Next level lyrical insight is a moment away.
Lyrical Analysis of...
Dark Streets
- These dark streets, home to those with no homes,
- No lifestyle to depend on with nobody to phone.
- Sleepless nights and thoughts of suicide are present,
- Just another human being with a struggle considered a "peasant".
- Daily success rubbed in the nose of their tough luck,
- Dependant on those angles who put a buck in the cup if they look.
- But even then, what's the option for better living ?
- Create a victim for free meals and a bed in prison ?
- Some, even with the cards they've been dealt,
- Would never victimise another just to benefit themselves.
- And to me, that's more than a fancy car, more than a wallet,
- More human than some of us are... ironic.
- Some, turn to religion and pray for better condition,
- When all they need is a politician with a little ambition.
- A genuine soul to stick to his role,
- Take the money he stole for use as damage control.
- Stop, storing the gold and start cleaning the streets,
- What use is a bullion if nobody can eat ?
- What's a swag bag in the hands of a hoarder ?
- When a man the same as you and I lives a life without order.
- Passed daily by pockets that jingle with change,
- But that's all they do is pass, not willing to change.
- No helping hand for the families that we pushed to the bottom,
- Veterans who fought for us are now considered a "problem".
- Our priorities are set to focus only on ourselves,
- And we wonder why there's no space left in our prison cells.
- To build as a country we must start with our own streets,
- Bring homes to us all and makes actions from speech.

- #Quote
- There is a lot that happens around the world that we cannot control,
- we cannot prevent droughts and we cannot prevent all conflict.
- But when we know where the hungry, the homeless and the sick
- exist, then we can help #Jan #Schakowsky
