Lyrical Analysis of...
My thoughts on rap (i cant rap)
- just a few lines to pass the time
- Rap is something that not everyone likes, we know that right
- but those who do, find it relieving to just write a few lines right?
- well here's my thoughts they wont flow too well but I'll give you my best
- rap is more than useless aggression,
- its a verbal way of expression
- its even saved many souls from depression,
- one of those people happened to be me
- someone who wanted to be set free,
- but I found it hard to see in a world of shadows
- as I got to the point of setting up my own gallows
- oh how shallow I was, ti;; I heard an MC called D Press
- in my eyes he was the best
- no rapper could contest to his flow and his rhymes
- I could feel the pain inside his lyrics
- It inspired me to make a change
- to stop being so deranged.
- rap is something people need
- its not just for a senseless group of teens
- its something more than that
- and some people just cant gather that fact
- yeah, pac and biggie kept me strong
- when the words of a song wasn't enough
- the words of those men kept me tough
- times were hard without a dad
- but the lyrical flows of Em made me glad
- to know that someone was going through what I had
- it was strange to know of someone in my place
- it was like time and space had changed
- and this whole world had just stopped
- and that's when it hit me that I could be on the stage
- a place of all kinds on people and race
- I needed that change
- I needed that change
