Lyrical Analysis of...
Wellplayed move (PArt 1)
- I watch you when you smile
- I watch you when you cry
- Its okay dear I'm here.
- Were the words she ached to hear from someone
- lying in bed writhing in agony form all the heartache
- She wished to be loved for once
- No she dint wish for sex
- She was a christian you sick people.
- She wished to fly. NOT metaphorically ,literally.
- As she lay there ,eyes closed exhausted from all the crying
- Sitting up coughing a little ,she moved over to her balcony
- The Heroin she injected earlier that evening, was probably working late
- Staring out into the universe below her feet, she pondered the dependencies
- Of living in a confusing materialistic world,
- where people claimed to not know
- The purpose of their racial and organic origins
- Yet they performed heinous acts of wars and pollution
- Excusing their foolish acts of harm and raised toasts
- To "find inner peace" and to "better democracies" ahead,
- Yuck ,she was disgusted with this world's
- Tomfoolery and suspended superficial ness,
- Where priests claimed to purify your soul under the name of a powerful unseen
- And yet they died to become the same microbes they were born with.
- How is it that such mortals claimed the higher levels of existence
- when they were most likely blinded by a most probable lie
- Our religion's resilience will outlive all others they say,
- Such Microbes never learnt their lessons well in primary school.
- Universes and galaxies outside their narrow buildup lies called life and religion
- Existed comparatively as anything we describe :large no huge
- no majestic, even doesn't even begin to cut their significance.
- Till this day and from before the time of big bang,
- Un explainable to their silly science.
- She smirks at the imagery of "humans" as Alien's lab rats a complete failure in their experiment 00ALIFE
- Somehow herself wasn't included in that experiment.
- Liberating and humbling is what she felt with this knowledge,
- Yet ,why so Powerless that her knees gave away ?
- And why did she feel emptier than a frill cage made of hay
- down in her usual rave she was supposed to be with like minded people.
- Scratch that ,with souls that recognized her bursting energy
- As One with which their own resonated .
- Alas .All the energy theories and electromagnetic fields couldn't explain
- this gaping soul less hole in her guts tonight.
- or all the nights that were to come hopefully without the fright
- She felt every time the Sun went down behind the horizons
- and her darkness welled up around her with jaws so wide
- It made her self imposed strength fade away into nothing.
- A gush of cold wind blew in and softly caressed her cheeks
- waving past her lustrous now short knit hair
- Landing hard on her dresser where she kept her little kit of makeup
- and that little trinket she pawned all those months earlier
- Fell thomp! on the steely unfeeling floor ,making her jump.
- You silly thing, I almost forgot you were here.
- She said picking up her invertedcross and
- holding it to her chest as if to soothe herself the pain
- In the weeks she had brought the anti christ emblem
- Julie developed a sort of an unexplainable connection with it
- She began to feel and see strange things around her.
- At first she dismissed them as nothing but peculiar coincidences
- But then again, No ten ton bucket truck just overturned and stopped
- skidding right half an inch from your feet ,where your precious locket lied.
- She was left baffled and so was her small group of good friends.
- But she got over it more quickly than the time next time
- She'd end up being... being a bloody mess !
- With a butchers knife logged deep in her chest
- If she hadn't been busy trying to unfree her pant pocket
- from that stupid potruding metalhook of the bar table
- and would've landed herself in the middle of an ugly brawl between drunk fucks
- This indecent made her belief in the supernatural ignite though not quite revived
- The tables turned though ,
- When Her best friend returned with her lost locket
- just in time to find her holding a knife to her already bloody wrists.
- She smiled at the bitter sweet
- Extremely miraculous experiences of the past months
- and wiped away the building tears,
- Believing them to be the signs of her weak former self.
- She sank down ,her bare back rubbing against the walls
- and wept silently fully .
- Earlier she slept like a good girl without a thought to worry her
- A year later she saw that girl no more.
- A woman now,
- though pure in the biblical sense she wasn't clean no more in her head.
- The cold wind blew in again ,making her shiver in her silky lingerie.
- Crossing her arms over to hug skin,
- An unspoken wish to be her former naive unburdened self
- When she wandered into the realm of her dreams she knew not...
- A subtle grip of her shoulders and a velvety soothing voice in her ears
- "I watch you when you smile
- I watch you when you cry
- Its okay dear I'm here."
- Julie wakes up to find herself in her old bedroom,
- Dressed in her cotton nightgown and a handsome face right across her own
- Pretending to be asleep ,
- Putting a hand on his smooth chest she allows her manicured nails do the talking ,
- "Who are you?"
