Lyrical Analysis of...
Reason for the Season
- Do you believe in Jesus?
- Let me tell you something,
- there has to be a reason for the season.
- I believe in more than one God.
- Some believe in one, or are atheists.
- Perhaps they forgot.
- Here's the thing, one can't control the crops,
- and the time the sun drops.
- At the same time.
- I believe in a God for death,
- a God that puts thoughts through your head.
- Only met one person that believes in the same thing,
- perhaps that's just the way we think.
- We're open minded,
- Once a thought runs through our heads,
- there's a thing out there, we try to find it.
- We share with others, we talk like brothers.
- Back to what I was saying.
- I don't get why people pray for weird things,
- like money, or wedding rings.
- Or something weirder, a new alcoholic drink.
- It's beyond me.
- Maybe they're joking,
- if their not, wow,
- I wonder what drugs they're smoking.
- Add a sun god, a love god, maybe I'll add a Jesus.
- Besides, there has to be a reason for the season.
- But, these are just some of the things I believe in.
- Do you believe me? I never gave the gods names.
- Don't worry, they're not all the same.
- Like a sports god, clutch, knowledge god, brain.
- I sound insane.
- But I have to believe in something, everyone has to.
- Good for the ones that do.
- Maybe I'll make up a belief.
- When I do, it'll be a relief.
- Maybe I'm correct, maybe these gods do exist.
- Besides, it makes sense.
- Nothing in this world is balanced.
- You never know what's gonna happen.
- Then again, there has to be a reason for the season.
