Lyrical Analysis of...
Lost but not forgotten
- Flat line in my mind. Writing rhymes the only way to hold my emotions in.
- People around me committing sin after sin. Every night prayin' that if I die tonight
- god would let me in. writing these lines eases my mind. Helps me to stop the crying and stand up
- like the soldier I was raised to be. Mama was sixteen when she had me.
- And dad, well it seems he forgot about me. By age 6 I knew my dad was a bum.
- I knew my dad was scum. If he was to even try to reach out to me today I'd spit on his face.
- And walk away. I had enough people who helped raise me on the daily that I didn't need him anyway.
- He could have chose to stay but he walked away anyway.
- I had a mom who loved me no matter what. I was raised to be tough and if I fell I was supposed to
- pick myself up and dust shoulders off. Taught to never be soft. And if you wanted to cry never
- show it.
- (hook)
- I'm lost but not forgotten, I'm gonna go from the bottom to the top and I'll never stop.
- They're lost but not forgotten,I'm gonna remember everyone who were there for me since day one.
- We're lost but not forgotten I'll make sure people remember us while we're six feet underground
- and our corpses are rotting. Lost but never forgotten.
