Lyrical Analysis of...
Uncle (WIP Slowly writing)
- Woke up one day to hear,
- "Uncle's gone now kids,
- It's time for him to close eyelids",
- I didnt even have to fear,
- I knew how hard it was for my mother,
- She needed more support than my brother,
- Poor kid lost his godfather,
- But at his age mom didnt have a father,
- Lost both her father and brother,
- All to a fucking cancer,
- Hugged her as a tear rolled down her cheek,
- She wasnt able to speak,
- She knew he was gone for good,
- It reminded her of *her* childhood,
- So I did my best to help,
- Try to get her over what she felt,
- I thought this lost would'nt cost me a tear,
- I guess i was wrong,
- That's why I wrote this song,
- Cuz my mom knew that she didnt mishear,
- I had to reassure her there was nothing to fear,
- That would always be here,
- Ready to help in tough moments like these,
- Always there to help with her worries,
- Then came the day where we layed him to rest,
- Had to support my grandmother didnt want her to get depressed,
- Cuz our welbeing was his final request,
- So i did as he said had to follow in his steps,
- And as we stepped towards the cemetery,
- Right arm over her neck thats when i realised this guys wasnt a centenary,
- Cancer straight up stole his life from him,
- No he didnt die cause of an addiction,
- Cancer just won the war of attrition,
- And now its been almost a full year since he departed,
- It's thanks to him this song was even started,
- If this ever gets any recognition say thanks to my uncle,
- Because even to day he still brings a tear to my eye,
- Damn losing someone causes a pain thats unthinkable,
- (ajouter refrain)
