Lyrical Analysis of...
Me vs Myself
- Gotta start to write some words, maybe a line or two
- but i got writer's block, i flew to close to the sun who knew?!
- driving a monster truck, singling, zoning out, not him, you!
- straight off a cliff, over the edge i flew
- rising up rapidly, elevated fast epically, next level
- thought out tactically, so now you see, a test this is not
- drowning you with salt, oceanically, not my fault
- i'm in a hurry gotta bolt, water electrified 10 000 volts
- add me some ketchup so i can apply it to myself
- because this ain't a fair match up and i'm no fucking elf
- me versus you, that's like the Hulk versus Ant man, you gotta catchup
- stomp you with a banner on my back, this isn't a Raid it's an attack
- i'm winning this race, going green in my face
- because you make me lyrically disgusted, prepare to be invisibly busted
- now you're on the ground, no one around, in a marsh, without sound
- mentally swamped, let's swap, switch places, ditch our faces, new identities
- different soul entities, experiment with shoe laces
- you be me and i'll be you, let's see if anyone can figure out who's who
- and since i'm you and you are me
- through each others eyes who knows what we'll see
- each mind has it's own perception, need my totem to confirm
- this isn't inception, used to dig up gems now i'm living in a mansion
- with Bruce Wayne, you won't see me shaving with the grain
- finally got some traction, i'm H negative you're IV positive
- opposite attractions and since i'm you
- we're different by a fraction, i promote profanity
- you exploit botany botanically, i digest a Budweiser
- you make a bud wiser, when it's older put it in a see through folder
- which you can see through with your visor
- why sir, you're getting wilder or am i becoming milder
- feeling like a wild nerd, 2nd rate mimer, copying you because
- you're the leader of a herd, someone leaked it
- a word was blurred, at least that's what i heard
- so now i'm confused, you've been me for a day and already
- procured and fused a crew, who knew?!
- was it witchcraft that you used, made a crafty pitch to a witch
- while i overused, snoozed and woke up in a ditch
- feeling the effects of last night's overdose, some powder
- still left on my nose, looking gross, i barely rose to my feet
- trying to compose my body, mind and bones, can't see still blind
- i'm in quite a conundrum, quite a bind
- a newspaper i gotta find, i'm in India, my brain's whipped
- someone call Indiana Jones, surrounded by dead bodies and broken bones
- don't speak in code, don't know Morse, i try to find a horse
- so i can escape, full of remorse
- i'm trying to find you all over the place
- up and down the street i race, all around, turning red in my face
- you're nowhere to be found, were you swallowed by the ground?
- i even looked in the puppy pound
- i need to tell you something but there's no volume, no sound
- trying to zoom in on your location, are you chair bound
- or maybe water drowned, did you go underground?
- don't you know we're soul bound, we can work something out
- find some common ground, i want my body back
- don't make me stack ammo and bombard you with attacks
- it was good camouflage but there's something this body lacks
- the attic's dark and messy, basement's sharp and silly
- the door drinks like a hillbilly, so take it back freely
- i don't wanna be you anymore, see i made a mistake
- so please just let me be me.
