Lyrical Analysis of...
Beauty & The Beat
- As I meditate, re flect and prepare for e jection
- Of my ego...my chakras begin course correction
- Not spinning backwards, they've reversed direction
- While the devil shuns our intentions and ways of connection
- Knowing that love is, the highest and supreme power
- Manifesting in every single moment, of every hour
- Love to all the shamans, so they will keep teaching
- We need 'em to fight societies constant overreaching
- And our fear of death, that is on the taste of every breath
- We constantly feel confused, like pronouncing name Seth
- After all it can happen at any time, on any day
- Gun shot from road rage or bus accident on freeway
- Any way, live in your moments, that's the only prescriptions
- Check out ancient texts and read pyramid inscriptions
- Be grateful by giving thanks and learn ways of natural living
- Shout out Native tribes, not just in November on Thanksgiving
- Teens feel hopeless, with many suicides on reservations
- Legacy of American genocide and related devastations
- Lest we never forget, or aren't we deemed to repeat
- Oh wait we've done that four times now, we continue to cheat
- We did forget, with no regret, as the world would just laugh
- US didnt event want to release the enslaved staff
- Regardless, we move toward more peaceful days
- Maybe all racism and violence, is an evolutionary phase
- Since we as human species, are still growing children
- Libations to all the people who are harassed beaten and killed when
- Terror and torture run rampant, like a new van stolen
- So you can say, family and community, is my goal then
- Always shout out our Ancestors, Africa gets many blessings
- Even though its beauty never gets much media addressings
- Recognizing we exist on shoulders of the greats
- And it is up the people to truly make this a United States
