Lyrical Analysis of...
Transition
- Yeah I grew up in a small town, young boy big dream had it all down
- until one day my mom came around, said pack your stuff we're moving
- back to my hometown
- That really took me by surprise, my entire life had changed right before my eyes
- All the guys i'd grown up with the girls I had known, my entire life had just seemed so unknown
- So four months later the sign was on the lawn and soon i realized everything would just be gone
- I was going into highschool and didn't know what to expect now i was thrown this curve ball
- and all i could do was accept.. The change
- It could've been worse, that why i'm telling you in this verse
- I got up here in the middle of the country, went to school the first day
- and made myself plenty of buddies
- soon i was playing football, rugby, i gave everything a whirl
- I enjoyed all my classes and met this one amazing girl
- or so i thought
- we didn't work out in the end, but once my heart began to mend
- i realized soon that all good things have to end
- but look at me now, sometime's i look back and say "but how?"
- i've come so far in the years that i've been up here, i no longer live with fear
- I walk out on stage and all these people cheer
- I'm as proud as i could be, now i realized that all the best is in me
- and i want to thank my mom, she's always kept me calm, made me believe that im the bomb
- don't forget my dad, always helping me when i was mad and forgot how much i had
- I'm grateful for my sister, who helped me grow up quicker
- she never let me bicker and always made sure i was sicker, than the others
- who now some seem like brothers
- But still i ask myself just how..
- did I end up where i am now
