Lyrical Analysis of...
The Broken MF
- he looks at her everyday, every chance he gets
- he only sees her face among the crowd of heads
- he wants to tell her but he couldn't find the strength
- every time he goes there he loses his breath
- he comes back, upset, nervous with sweat
- his head in his hands and he always regrets
- oh the things he'd do for his love
- but only if he could say those words
- all started with the little texts she sent
- three in the night yet there talk won't end
- two complete strangers, bonded so well
- the first time they met, is when the guy fell
- she was walking towards him, when he felt the vibe
- it was then he realized, love at first sight
- the shit that he felt it was hard to describe
- somehow he said Hi, and he earned a smile
- all day long he kept staring at her
- the way she dressed up is the type that he admired
- man her hair was so fucking fine
- bet her lips tasted like Riesling wine
- he made a fool out of himself, trying to talk to her
- he wanted to say but there was nothing he could utter
- every word he managed, included a little stutter
- she must have wondered what's the matter with this fucker
- this fucker's in love with you, but he'll never say
- he'll pretend to be alright, like McConaughey
- there was one time, she showed up surprisingly
- and then he was lost for words, yet again
- he messed up twice, for that he apologizes
- now he was tired, of just sitting in the silence
- he's a dumbass, he realized that
- i'm asking her out, he decided
- and so he did and it all went well
- the more time he spent, the harder he fell
- and they talked a lot, he didn't want it to stop
- played her favourite songs when he dropped her off
- went home, smiled big, stayed up all night
- thinking about her, it all felt so right
- he was in love with her, he has to let her know
- time passes faster when u want it to go slow
- he finally made up his mind, a few weeks later
- he picked up his phone, and decided to text her
- one tick turned to two, and two turned to blue
- when it showed typing, panic in his heart ensued
- and the phone buzzed, it was a notification
- he opened it up, subconsciousness full of tension
- the text was long, but one word said it all
- one word to put him in the friendzone
- he was broken, but it was not the first time
- rejection is something he's been dealing all his life
- and even after all that, he has still survived
- you know why, cause he's writing this rhyme
- in case you haven't guessed, that guy is me
- this rap ain't fiction, it's my own story
- the latest one in my failed love collection
- i'm just a dude who craves for some affection
- i crave and crave, and all I taste is failure
- to cope with failure, i take a pen and a paper
- and waste all the time, writing all the rhymes
- for a girl who wouldn't even care about these lines
- but hey then, that's just my life
- i get my heart broken every time that i try
- and now i think, is it worth even trying
- the thing y'all call love, is it ever happening?
- maybe it will, i just gotta keep moving on
- don't look back, every day's a new dawn
- I'm still young, ain't gonna give up on love
- cause i believe somewhere out there waiting is the one
- and it ain't long, until our paths cross
- or what if it's already done but she doesn't know
- cause I know that I have already met the one
- she's the subject of this song and she's everything that I want
- but she doesn't seem to think the same
- she'll be happy, as she's going away
- and if she's happy, then I'm happy
- that's all I wanted to say
- this rap wasn't made for entertainment nor money
- neither was this some shakespeare level poetry
- this was just what i felt, written down on paper
- and one thing, I do really love her.
