Lyrical Analysis of...
EVERY MOMENT
- //This song is dedicated to the American lower class
- //Keep the daily grind to try to provide best you can
- //Wait for it, the beat drops at 0:22 0:23
- VERSE 1:
- To my niggas everywhere who go through harsh poverty,
- and I'll address those fucking issues in the bars probably,
- it's for the high crime rates for all that gang bang violence,
- kid gets cash from working and flaunts? Bang bang silence,
- even though it's difficult, we say the same thangs rhyming,
- private flights, finest wine, broads, fame, chains, diamonds,
- what if you saw 'em take your father and rape ya daughter,
- and filmed the motherfuckin' crimes up on a tape recorder,
- y'all give those thugs sympathy? I think that's blatant slaughter,
- y'all niggas act like waitress, you're always taking orders,
- don't shoot the messenger, just go along and hate the martyr,
- don't talk about it, walk around it, there's no breaking borders,
- politicians and hypocrite critics, yeah they're waiting for ya,
- they're trying to find a way to sue, buy entertainment lawyers,
- and in the midst of the struggle well keep your roll of quarters,
- one day that could all fall down, to gats they hold up on us,
- I'm tired of seeing crack dealers and kids and lonely goners,
- pimps and thieves controlling 'em, and they patrollin' corners,
- Trayvon Martin wore a hoodie and probably spoke Ebonics,
- so they means you have to shoot like the kid's smokin' chronic?
- we're sick of law enforcement and all the cases they beat,
- y'all wonder why folks in the ghetto have a hatred of heat,
- because they're shaken 'round, taken down by racist police,
- who are disturbing the cities, and they're fazing the pace,
- it's hard to find good honest work that pays in the streets,
- gentrification, rent just keeps raising in days and in weeks,
- I feel like I'm fucking confused, I am, and I'm dazed in defeat,
- I ain't got fancy clothes, cars, mansions, or J's on my feet,
- single mothers doing crack and drinkin' to drown their sorrow,
- never knowing 'bout eviction, that could fall down tomorrow,
- no role models, just whole bottles, and you could never know it,
- cycle of living in the ghetto 'round that shit, live every moment
