  2. //Description says it all
  3.
  4. VERSE 1:
  5. It's an everyday hustle, and you don't wanna be caught up in it,
  6. in a Southern redneck trailer park where you ain't got a minute,
  7. I'm a poor white kid, got beat up everyday but stayed in school,
  8. I never skipped a class, got good grades, and I played it cool,
  9. but I'm fuckin' pissed, I probably won't go gain some knowledge,
  10. 'cuz my motherfuckin' parents are too poor to pay for college,
  11. oh wait, I forgot, we used to have food stamps and Section 8,
  12. my parents can't afford health, we make too much for Medicaid,
  13. hairs away from qualifying, still got free lunch, that's how it feels,
  14. WIC, Goodwill, Salvation Army, thrift shops, and powdered milk,
  15. and now it's real, the power kills me, how to pay for college shit,
  16. we parents are low income, and I'm white, so no scholarships,
  17. my parents are so poor they're disenfranchised from politics,
  18. 'cuz nobody will help 'em, they're too concerned with lobbyists,
  19. so I'll probably end up working at McDonalds, spittin' this rage,
  20. and live in a cage imprisoned by the system of minimum wage,
  21. upward mobility's a myth, the American Dream we can't reach,
  22. politicians are getting back hand bribes, sittin' on a damn beach,
  23. we can't relax, 'cuz I gotta help my parents fuckin' pay their bills,
  24. today it's ill, and fuck the rest of hip hop that says "stayin' real",
  25. they'll probably think I'm middle class 'cuz I don't press the metal,
  26. and probably think my family's great 'cuz I won't step in ghettoes,
  27. and probably think I'm comfortable because my color's white,
  28. not knowin' Southern whites are lower class, my fuckin' life,
  29. that's nothing nice, living trapped up inside this financial bubble,
  30. yeah we were doing okay as a teenager, now damn it's trouble,
  31. we live paycheck to paycheck, and plus I'm a common dude who,
  32. will always shop at Walmart and always make Ramen noodles,
  33. and pawn shops and thrift stores and Food Lion, nail it hard,
  34. I'll probably re visit those old shotgun homes and trailer parks,
  35. so now the truth is told, you've got the words, now shoot me cold,
  36. 'cuz I can't live to find out what that motherfuckin' future holds
