Lyrical Analysis of...
Road to Hell
- //VERSE 1:
- Yo I speak truth, y'all don't even recognize,
- my legacy is jeopardized, y'all criticize unique views,
- at worst cocaine, addicted to the dope flows,
- I want y'all to all know, true artists, Kurt Cobain,
- berserk insane, purple drank in my brain's frame,
- acid rain drops and kush haze, do the same thang,
- every time, spit a clever rhyme, go "bang bang",
- like the hustlers up in the ghetto who gang bang,
- who deal crack not to kingpin but to maintain,
- the victims of circumstance, we can play blame games,
- the media does it all the time, makes 'em fall in line,
- then covers up the scene like at V Tech and Columbine,
- video gaming systems, violent movies, influence,
- by Nirvana, Eminem, and Marilyn Manson's music,
- and maybe marijuana, you know the teens abuse it,
- using any truth for youth's future proves useless,
- maybe look towards the artists if the name's hot,
- killin' off the human lives, suicide, brains pop,
- so much mindless rhetoric, I think I need a pain shot,
- talk show pundits, different stories with the same plot,
- of course, kids from suburban middle class households,
- say they got a perfect life, leave 'em there out cold,
- with no guidance and a lack of guidance for troubles,
- their parents won't think about lists of their struggles,
- growin' up in the gutter, man we all got problems,
- seein' poverty and crime doesn't make it rock bottom,
- best or least, West or East, ghetto blocks got 'em,
- no sign of little perfect Eric 'cuz the cops shot him,
- of course, stay ignorant, flex, and pop a Molly yo,
- which ghetto he grew up in? Man it's Hollygrove,
- of course it's a movement, causin' mass confusion,
- the images portrayed seen are all just illusions
