Lyrical Analysis of...
The Outsiders
- "When I stepped out into the bright sunlight
- from the darkness of the movie house,
- I had only two things on my mind,
- Paul Newman and a ride home."
- He looks tough and I don't,
- but I guess my own looks aren't so bad.
- I had a long walk home and no company,
- but I usually lone it anyway,
- for no reason except that I like
- to watch movies undisturbed.
- Soda tries to understand,
- at least he tries,
- more than Darry.
- But than Soda is different
- from everybody, so
- he understand, more then
- anybody else.
- Then I went walking home
- thinking about the movie and a ride home
- suddenly wishing I had so company,
- Greasers can't walk home
- alone to much or,
- they can end up like Johnny,
- who was jumped by some socs,
- Me and Johnny, were best friends
- we did everything together
- including, killing Bob
- so, we had to hide
- up on Jay mountain
- up in a church
- then in burned down
- with so kids in it
- we went and saved them
- but we got hurt
- and everything changed
- The socs were mad
- about bob's death
- So the greaser responded
- with a quest
- to have a rumble so
- the agreed to have a fight
- at the empty lot
- at night.
- The greaser were really pumped
- about beaten some socs up
- the greaser had to stay
- together to win the fight
- The socs soon ran back to there cars
- where they lost the fight
- than they went to Johnny
- but found he was dead
- so Dallas went crazy
- and got shot by the cops.
- Me and Johnny, were best friends
- we did everything together
- including, killing Bob
- so, we had to hide
- up on Jay mountain
- up in a church
- then in burned down
- with so kids in it
- we went and saved them
- but we got hurt
- and everything changed
