Lyrical Analysis of...
Dropless Bottle
- Story: "A man who lost the love of his life to death, resulting in his living death."
- [Verse 1]
- We all make mistakes, take risks which come in many forms and shapes,
- cause habitual use of blades, victual of food on their clement print plates.
- Capture a mixture of anger and hate but cast by well placed laughter, and
- dipped in extra coats of lacquer that dripped, shines as bright as his mind, but
- slipped on every pavement he stepped. A troll taking tolls from under his bridge,
- bill rolls unfold and sold by the liquor on his lips and no woman by his hip.
- So he replenished with sips, betwixt his cesspit gut lied a crenellate of bricks.
- Like a Twix, but missing a stick, he's not desperate, just unable to accept it,
- so he rejects it and tries to forget, clenches regret close to his hollowed out chest.
- [Chorus SANG]
- There's nothing he can do,
- There's flooding due to who let the dam through.
- Nobody knows the pain he holds,
- nobody wants to look inside so he's all alone.
- There's nothing he can do.
- There's flooding due to who let the dam through.
- Nobody knows the pain he holds,
- nobody wants to look inside so he's all alone.
- [Verse 2]
- To replace what left, what belongs but doesn't do what it does best,
- consulting to a "manual" for answers but doesn't get an answer.
- Hence more laughter with a hint of an anchor, but it's not shoving,
- there's something obstructing the motor that's tugging, no budging.
- In a room filled with people he's hushed, spoke few words, brushed
- along like dust but she caught a spec in her eye, managed to make a girl blush,
- Her smile drew flush like a hand in poker, he felt alive, a rush, sober and closure.
- His hungover clutched out of overdrive, he realized his mediocre life was touched.
- Now it's all over....
- [Chorus SANG]
- There's nothing he can do,
- There's flooding due to who let the dam through.
- Nobody knows the pain he holds,
- nobody wants to look inside so he's all alone.
- There's nothing he can do.
- There's flooding due to who let the dam through.
- Nobody knows the pain he holds,
- nobody wants to look inside so he's all alone.
- [Verse 3 short]
- New infatuation, attraction, didn't think it could or would ever happen,
- he felt alone and deserted in a desert, thirsted, no water for miles,
- lurking with no purpose, running out of time, while he closed the curtains,
- abseiled to the bottom of this dropless bottle to it's surface and sat in the urges...
