- Heres a story I’m about to say
- about the reformation in the early days.
- It started in about 15 to the 1600’s in Western Europe
- all about this stuff now lets turn up!
- In the church there was worldiness and corruption
- so much disruption.
- Martin Lurther couldn’t put up with it
- so what he had to do was admit it.
- He nailed the 95 theses on the door
- he even threw some on the floor.
- He wanted people to see
- but some people didn’t agree
- Lutheranism was the church Martin Lurther made
- where everyone prayed.
- The pope accused John Wycliff of hersey
- or opinions that contradict church doctrine.
- William Tyndale translated the New Testament
- even some parts of the Old Testament.
- A particular religious grouping within a larger faith is called denomination
- it was involved with the Reformation.
- Catherine of Siena lived during the black death
- when she ran, she needed to catch her breath.
- John Calvin was a pastor
- eventually he learned to talk french faster.
- King Henry VIII was a lord
- he always carried around a sword,
- he never really got bored.
