BUILDING BLUEPRINT
Next level lyrical insight is a moment away.
Lyrical Analysis of...
Seeing a Girl Again
- This takes me back...
- To a time when I'd administer a sinister dose
- Of something gross just so I could try to diagnose
- Your brain on the basis of some old secret you hold close
- Diplomas on the wall ensure your bill is grandiose
- Would you care to try and take a guess what I miss the most?
- Looking past your blue eyes and seeing only a ghost
- Turned your beautiful mind to a parasitic host
- And I no longer know the girl running the command post
- Looked in the mirror today and didn't recognize myself
- A phoenix risen from the ashes taken down from the shelf
- I know I look good and girl you don't look half bad yourself
- Doesn't herself plus himself beat oneself by themselves?
- Lend an ear means to let them bend an ear, befriend an ear
- Then allow me to descend to the front end or the rear
- But she meant for us to mend just as i had always feared
- Didn't work out as I'd penned, it ended and I volunteered
- To answer the nagging silence with a single strong word
- And in that one moment on the TV set the screen was blurred
- Called up Comcast cause the service was lacking and absurd
- How could the focal point be known if this line went unheard?
- It's a problem consistent throughout all my plots and schemes
- Never know if you're in the waking world or in your dreams
- And before you run your mouth or fly off going to extremes
- Sit down hard, exhale, and remember nothing's as it seems
