Lyrical Analysis of...
Anti-Bullying
- I find it hard to believe that some people can bully a guy called steve
- Then he has to walk home with the pain on feet just to be in his bedroom and grieve
- His mother asks what's wrong but he doesn't wanna answer since his face is long
- Back to school again but he doesn't even wanna talk to his best friend John
- I sit at the back of the bus and can tell he is listening to a sad song
- I sit next to him and ask him why he isn't talking to John
- With his face still long he says I get bullied on the daily and no one helps
- I get kicked and punched in the locker room screaming for help and I always yelp
- I have to put makeup on to hide the bruises on my face just for the actions to repeat same time same place
- If you really cared about me you'd put yourself in my place
- You'd put yourself in my place
- I walk past the locker room to get to my class and I hear someone say I'm about to beat your ass
- Other people heard the yelling and ran off fast I just don't understand how long this can last
- I ask what's going on here then they say nothing beat it queer
- Why do people have to be so abusive to some people so innocent
- I guess that's the world we all live in isn't it
- Schools ending now I'm waiting for the bus and I overhear there's one of you and three of us
- What are you gonna do punk you gonna cry to your mommy
- I confront them and say this isn't funny leave him alone and move on with your day
- They said if you got a problem speak up and say
- This is wrong picking on a little guy. How about you pick on someone your own size
- Now I'm sitting at home suspended from school
- Why does the good guy get punished but the bully don't
- I guess to everyone this rap is a fucking joke.
- I get bullied on the daily and no one helps
- I get kicked and punched in the Locker room screaming for help and I always yelp
- I have to put makeup on to hide the bruises on my face just for the actions to repeat same time same place
- If you really cared about me you'd put yourself in my place
- You'd put yourself in my place
- I listen to his words and i think about them at my home and at my pace
- If i cared about him i’d put myself in his place
- I dont understand how bullying became a part of the human race
- Why cant we all just get along same time same place
- Why do we have to bully people just so they can feel alone and we can feel strong
- Whatever happened to getting along this might not change what we feel for thing
- But maybe this might change how we deal with things
- Put yourself in his place
- Put yourself in her place
- Put yourself in my place
- And maybe I might put myself in your place
- Say No to bullying
