Anger begets violence and violence begets pain,

pain begets hatred and hatred fills up the brain,

this applies to everyone, free or detained,

those who live with hate are the ones truly insane

 

 

Evil thoughts in the night where no light will ever shine bright,

freedom is in the distance but always closer with the mic,

all you need is one song to send a powerful message,

now all that's left is the will of today's adolescents,

 

ignorant men and women crowd the streets of forgotten souls,

pay the toll, rich men driving away in their rolls,

to them, life's about stomping on the few who stand true,

those who have the courage and spirit to yell "fuck you"

 

nobody beside them to tell them to get up, fight back,

you gotta fight for your rights and never look back,

back at the pain, ruin, devastation we created,

so, get off your phone and stop acting complacent,

 

look to the sky and see the sun rays beam down on your face,

be thankful for being here no matter your gender, colour or race,

remember those who sacrificed anything to show you kindness,

because having a selfless friend is truly something priceless.

 

A young child's innocence, the youth we're all after,

up to the brim with joy and infinite laughter,

if only it were that easy to live in this world,

the feeling just like the first time you saw that girl,

 

the butterflies, the dry mouth, the cat getting your tongue,

remember that feeling? the feeling of being that young?,

take this knowledge in stride, don't exercise your pride,

but rather just smile at everyone you walk by,

 

don't look down on those of different practices and faiths,

instead have positive energy and learn to embrace,

I know it might sound just a little bit unorthodox

but this motto, the golden rule, is no paradox,

 

treat others the way you would like to be to treated,

don't be an ignorant drunk acting conceited,

the path which we chose was chosen for a reason,

so put down the gun and follow me to Eden
