It's Because Of You
• Written by TwoOneEight
Dear mom,
I see needles in you veins,
Tears from the pain,
white shirt now red with blood stains,
but it's you I forgive,
like everything's forgotten,
Even though you were young,
you never thought of adoption,
nor about an abortion,
always against abortionists,
An abolitionist against abortions,
keeping children with parents instead of an orphanage,
Scars on both of our wrist,
seems to me we both contemplated the slit,
But every time you got in trouble,
you'd bury another under the rubble,
twisting the story like a cotortionist,
tryna get shit like an extortionist,
When you left for Vegas for 6 years,
Man you left me expressionless,
I cried and cried heart of unhappiness,
you turned the ignition for depression,
the sad expression,
turned into irritation,
I wanted to strangle the first to make impressions,
slice his throat then total decapitation,
since I scare em away like irresistible intimidation,
an apology turned into a story of creativity and hostility,
now I know I'm just a mortal,
but my fire never dies like my rhymes are immortal,
I was a man without morals,
opposite of normal,
no potential,
so others were judgemental,
I still feel like God wasted life on me but he's never wasteful,
so god I tell you amen,
now I gotta make myself some hot top ramen.
