Mix Tape

I got a mix tape with a bunch a songs I can relate to when my state of mind begins to hesitate

On being nice to new folks that I start meeting where is this new road leading cause here's the thing

I got a mix tape when I start to feel separated from my mind taking breaks to quickly rewind

Finding new opportunities no more hiding its time to look a head to the future and start smiling

I got a mix tape I upgrade and continuously create new space adding new songs when I feel down

My mind wraps around the negative side of things instead of overlooking it and seeing what matters more

I got these mix tapes that I make so that I can take a break from the stress that life gives to all of us

 

Yeah I know that I got these things that most people find weird but I got kinks and certain Interests

I'm a be real when I get wounds underneath the surface It takes me time to heal So I deal with it my way

I've made a lot of mistakes ran away from my past when I was young cause when I got stung it hurt me

My wounds healed but those scars stick like the memories we shared like the first date we had girl

You are the one that got away I tried to reel you in but I'm not gonna be selfish and let her pick me

I've made bad choices now I regret having taken certain things for granted I've acted to selfish

And this place where I've landed has me feeling stranded this a habit I need to break and split

I feel sick but I can't vomit so I write my troubles in the form of poetry to say that I am genuinely sorry

Do you forgive me cause I've forgiven myself and I want to give you the happiness you truly deserve

But no matter how many times I wish you to be mine I know it won't happen that easy so I'll let you go free

I've let go of the pain I tried to contain cause all it ever did was drain me completely I know it sounds Cheesy

But this is for the better I'll remember the times we shared but nothing good can last forever I'll still keep em with me to treasure

I may not measure up but I don't give pain the pleasure to torture me into self pity no more I've let it all go and now

Not gonna lie ever since you left I ain't been the same I'm back to being broken my smiles been stolen

But what I give to the table now is truly genuine cause all that's I've been in ain't nothing compared to you

I want to say bye but I'm just to stubborn to turn around and run back with open arms for you to catch

There's no match nonmkre to try and reattach you was a snitch a one of a kind catch but I think it's time to detach

Some of the things require the strongest will to let go of the things you are because by far I won't find another like you

I get to emotionally attached once I give enough trust in you to be open and vulnerable but I'm humble and won't keep you in a bubble

I'll let you go cause that my love I won't rush to walk off just brush it off my shoulders trying my best to be a soldier

This road goes to place you can't follow cause it's like a hard pill you can't swallow amd if there's still time to borrow

I'll use it wisely to become the better man I'm meant to be I'd say nobody knows this pain but it's one we all share

When I care to much I tend to overthink certain events that might happen so I try avoid it but it still happens

No one is truly alone to the pain we all have in common with its just a different story in our lives till we start to share it
