Streets, Rhymes

• Written by

Yo, I'm in the hood, where the streets talk loud,
Life's a puzzle, I'm breakin' through the crowd.
Slangin' rhymes, like I'm movin' weight,
In the struggle, I find my fate.

Raised on the corners, where the corners got names,
Hustlin' hard, playin' street games.
Syllables sharp, like a blade in the night,
In the city shadows, I find my light.

Middle finger up, to the haters and the fakes,
Rhyme so cold, like winter lakes.
In the cipher, I'm the lyrical architect,
Black youth voice, I resurrect.

Profanity laced in the verses I spit,
In the cipher, I legit commit.
Rhyme scheme tighter than a prison cell,
Breakin' out, risin' from the spell.

I speak the truth, no time for lies,
In this concrete jungle, where the strong survives.
Slangin' lines, call it verbal dope,
In the rap game, I'm climbin' slope.

Life's a struggle, but I wear the crown,
In the rap battleground, I won't back down.
In the city's heartbeat, I find my rhythm,
Middle finger up, I'm on a lyrical mission.

So listen up, to the words I weave,
In the game of life, I won't deceive.
Black youth dreams, risin' like the sun,
In the streets I'm from, my journey's begun.
