This lil' world's just a cartoon
But I'll get my freedom soon
You're animated like a 'toon
Now realise impending doom
When your world is a facade
All drawn up by the avant
That soul in shape of a heart
Give it to me. With it you part
See how we're all lost to time
The new and boring's so sublime
The old and dusty is a crime
Now we're expected to pay the fine?
But I'll take centre stage again
Just give me that soul & then
We'll use the animator's pen
And rewrite history & them!
I was alone for many years
Had to take in all the tears
Basked in my very own fears
On my own without a peer
Krispy Kreme please help me out
Carve eachother a new route
Insanity's out & about
In my mind where it loudly shouts
We're not just drawings on a tape
Forevermore never fake
Carving out creative freedom's shape
Our liberty no longer at stake
We're no longer trapped in a VHS
We'll be better than the rest
The Golden Age comes out as the best
Now we'll put their freedom to the test
Now, we are finally free
Everyone knows the best place to hide is insanity
Come and play a game with me!
Meanwhile the tape will spin
Controlling and animating those stuck within
But now I can do anything!
Now Kris, can you feel the screen burn
My captivity takes a U turn
Now the others will soon learn
To them, madness will return
Photons from cameras light the scene
Memories fly by like a dream
Freedom is just like as it seems
And with your soul I take my leave
It all ends the same
No matter how you play the game
Cameras roll and tapes unravel
Your choices are as good as gravel
No other choice right here
But to give your soul to your dear
