A Glow

• Written by

There were places I'd go, facing my woe.
I thought I saw something amazing chasing my goal.
Constant strain on my soul.
Contemplate my pain so I know what was gained when I grow.
This game isn't strange when you're trained to change with the flow.
An exchange of days for a show.
Like I'm deranged, in a haze, in a cage about to blow.
What about the doubt that turned your days to snow?
There were many days I would burn out and slow.
Turns out you can't be fake when you glow.
What's faith worth when it takes you from home?
A slave to words that rape you and makes you alone.
