Looked For Hope

I looked for hope. Is it my fault that I overlooked what I wrote?

In the books with notes, with hooks and the quotes.

Overtook by the hoax, overlooked by the folks.

What I notice is that my focus lapse, it's hopeless to have hope when it's hope that attacks.

I'm open to the moment but the moment has past, it's too potent to grasp.

I lost my mind too the smoke but I'm still cogent to ask.

Is there still hope when the moment has past?
