Close Your Eyes

• Written by

Right now, life's not so great for me
Skeletons from my closet are chasing me
While I smile with my chin up so gracefully
Lately my skin has been no place to be
Basically / there’s no light on this backstreet
No one can see me thrown right on the trash heap
Though my complexion is snow white, I’m a black sheep
Society eyes me as a low life and they bash me
I lack sleep / and I haven’t eaten in a week
Never seeing what I seek, seem beaten and I’m weak
Greeted as a cretin when I’m seen up in the streets
Treated like I’m cheating, full of schemes and deceit
Wheezing as I’m breathing, never leaving my feet
I’m standing Boston Strong and don’t believe in defeat
If I give in, they win, and that’s a sin for me
So I throw blows composing this symphony
I’m too gritty for pity; give me no sympathy
Adapt and attack this pack of hacks instantly
The infancy of my infamy, your infantry can’t spit with me
Blissfully blistering this industry consistently
Skillfully diminish your dignity as you wince at me
So now no bigotry hitting me can bother me
Busy in the ministry of slaughtering beats properly
