Verse 1:

this is a story bout a girl named Maddie. she has no friends and she never met her daddy

she walked in on her mother in her bedroom taped, and at the age of 13 she witnessed her first rape

now Maddie was the type to put on a fake smile, she could only keep it up for a very little while

when she came home her mom was drunk, verbally abused and called a little punk

"nobody likes you" class mates would say,so Maddie decided to take her life one day

 

Chorus:

she cries oh God if i take my life today may i still go to heaven if I stop and pray

if i die right now will my mom even care but i guess not my moms not even there

 

Verse 2:

one day while everyone is sleeping Maddie's up creeping

she goes in the tub and fills the tub up

she hops in and pulls the curtain shes looking up at God tears running and shes hurtin

she thinks about how earth would be without her and how her life would be if people didnt doubt her

but only if she knew the things that God would do

he would never leave you God loves her too

but its too late her nose is above the water God's like "angels go down and save my daughter"

just when you thought that girl was bout to die in vain the girls mom came and took the hook out the drain
