She sits alone, waiting at a bus stop
A man walks past, his wallet he drops
But he keeps walking onwards and she calls him back
Their eyes meet and they begin to have a chat
Days pass by, they get to know one another
Through an act of sheer bravery he asks for her number
She happily complys and says goodbye with a smile
A message pops up on her phone after a little while
They talk, they laugh, he asks her on a date
How did these two meet? I'd just call it fate
They share the same hobbies, ideals and views
He looks into her eyes and tells her "I Love You"
They cherish one another, for many years
When to him it seems clear that the time is finally here
He looks at her, stops, and takes one knee
He says the words she's been waiting for "Will you marry me?"
They grow old together, and live their life in happiness
He still loves her as much as he did when they first met
He's blessed, she still looks beautiful in that dress
But the days get rougher and he begins to stress
In a hospital bed, she dies in his arms
He cries but still clinches firmly onto her palm
He's an emotional wreck, the epitome of sad
Yet he's still glad they both experienced the times they had
She sits alone, waiting at a bus stop
A man walks past, his wallet he drops
She doesn't even notice it, right under her nose
She gets onto the bus, looks back, and the doors close.
