Hopeless Dreams

Kendrick preached to us "Fuck Your Ethnicity", he was right/ blacks

and whites fight all the time it ain't right/ cause as humanity we're

losing sight, all we need is a light/ to guide us back to being sane

make everything alright again/ I speak for others when I say I highly

condemn people when/ they're racist to any one other, we're all

sisters and brothers/ killin' each other over a street corner and

whoever's responsible is mentally tortured/ why do we play this

game colour vs. colour?/ for fuck sakes humans are out of order!/ 2

weeks ago Chazz Petrella went 6 feet under randomly/ committed

suicide over some middle school bullying/ think of his fuckin' family

who could have raised him happily/ he was 12 years old! open your

eyes, it's not in disguise/ all this violence has got to stop or

everybody's gonna die!/ mother fuck ANYBODY who's EVER given s\

omebody somethin' they didn't deserve/ hope karma is enough to

make you observe how to conserve/ your feelings, cause if bullying's

your answer then find different dealings/ it's our instinct as human

beings to work together for freedom/ whether music be it our light

lets just give up this senseless fight/ I pray every night, what makes

those kids load up a nine and/ march into their school open fire killin'

every kid/ in line of sight, and these parrents are blaming

"magazines/ rap music and video games are responsible for these

kinds of teens"/ where the fuck were they at before this kid went on

a spree/ or when all Chazz needed was someone to be there for him,

did he have to plead?/ instead he hung himself from the damn

ceiling… weather music be it our light we need healing.
