Meaning of this rhyme is for people who's good graces go unnoticed in this case a young man goes to war for his country doe's things he can't forgive himself for, and his deed goes unnoticed to his peers. Columbine forge is reference to tragedy and how he feels it compares to his "loss".
Decisions are weighed but rest on only one's shoulders,
he was just a kid but ranked the best soldier,
people followed but still looked down on age,
this kid killed people now he's locked in a cage.
Why wrongful sorrow is felt for his victims,
nobody cares who caused the Columbine forge,
distorting principles of endued greed,
that kid only tried to help with remembrance pleas,
now his rank stripped and his life taken away,
the kid circles lonely in a dark cold cage.
Why do people fear what they don't understand?
Why do we flee instead of holding our stance?
Why do we give money to those who lie on a man?
Moral of the story has a deep with held meaning,
he was just a kid who simply was believing,
take what you want from the story foretold,
but my words fall short on those who don't know.
On a battlefield of blood and distaste,
this Soldier fought his way to free from his disgrace.
Instead of being thanked for his heart and his spirit,
people show hate but they were nowhere near it.
He was just a kid but saved many peoples' lives,
with a bullet to the heart where his enemy demons coincide.
Monster or man the answer is in itself,
this kid fought for his country and his actions have him grieving,
he had many losses in a land of violence gleaming.
