Only One

• Written by

i remember when you were alone and you called me on my phone,
you said you were scared so we talked all night
we talked about love, we talked about life
i joked around, i wish you were my wife

too young to love, but too old to dream

til death do us part,
but life is what pulled us apart

we are nevermore
except in the persistence of memory
in my heart exists our chemistry

nostalgia of the past, uncertainty of the future
dwelling on coulda been and how things were

nobody got fingerprints like yours, got lips like yours,
got a love like yours
