Climb or Dig

I've got an opportunity, one that you are soon to see
To give you a message, delivered by future me
I'm telling you it's urgent, it regards you as a person.
You might want to find a seat, I think this'll hurt a bit.
You're not ready to face a day as long as it it's a good one
You sit inside and hide from the neighborhood's sun
Please, don't leave yet, you really to see this.
I'm not trying to preach it but give you what you need, kid
Sometimes it can feel like you got a bitter deal
Like your mind will never heal, like a cold dinner meal
But please stay patient, ribs is gonna make it
Close your eyes and pray quick, knees to the pavement
God has made a promise and Gods promises are honest
Despite your conscience haunted, demonic, and monstrous
I'm telling you it gets worse, you need to make a bet first
You cannot simply let words control your inner tempers
Life is an ocean, not a lazy river
Maybe reconsider how you're lazily embittered
Yes, there's a weight on the scale of your fate
but it ain't gonna change with you straddling the gate
You need to take steps and take deep breaths
Maybe stress is the weight deep in your chest
I know you want to die now, but maybe if you tried out
You wouldn't have to write while high off of White Owls
..so listen to me closely
I'm about to be blunt like smoking rolled weed
Your heart is fearful, your wide-eyes tearful
Your tired of life giving quite an earful
I understand your need and your plea to be free
But believe in me peace is hard to achieve.
If weed is your release then you need to see
that from you to me is only six feet deep.
You can either climb or dig, either whine or fix
but please just know you'll be fine in the end.
