Intro to Binge Mind
• Written by AnxiousKidThePoet
Hi there, my name is Anxious.
Yeah, I'm sick
again 'cause I'm nervous.
An addict transfixed.
This intro to my diction,
is a window to how I think,
it's an intro to visions
that're written by the Sphinx.
Deliberately grotesque
visual riddles to
open your nest
to things beyond symbols.
Let go of your temples,
your brain is scrambled.
You're stuck in words.
Locked, snake mandibles.
(Wait, lemme try again.)
Hi there, my name is Poet.
Broken, I know it.
My house started off white,
now I've painted it scarlet.
Skeletons in my closet,
cyanide in my pocket,
notebook in my bag,
Stimulants in my stomach.
Who done it?
It was always me.
These eyes full eclipse,
I'm Hamlet's V.I.P.
Wish this sullied flesh
would just melt off me.
Wish myself the best,
but only bitter, complaining.
(No, no, one more time.)
AK,TP,
both sides of my coin,
act as two masters,
both sides conjoined.
They show me how I'm acting,
how everyone does the same.
I woke up from the napping
and saw that we're all insane.
I might be obvious,
insomnia ominous,
blood under my nails
that scares little kids,
but that's just how I am.
I'm always learning so
I teach what I can,
and this is what I know:
Life is tabula rasa,
with free color palettes.
So, I Vincent Van Gogh
on everyone's canvass.
Don't hold onto anything,
if you can manage.
It's harder to paint on yourself
so paint on your planet.
