Fill the Gap

• Written by

Remember that time
When they held you down,
You said you were fine
As you lay on the ground.
You didn't have to play the martyr,
Goddamn if you weren't smarter,
And as the years got harder,
You yourself grew darker.

The cuts got deeper,
This should be the last time,
You beg for the reaper,
You beg for him to be kind.
But the reaper never comes,
And now you feel like scum,
You grab a bottle of rum,
And begin to feel numb.
