Stuff On My Mind: Routine

I go through the same routine day in and day out

Wake up, go to school, and come home to eat and work out

And I never go out, I don't usually go to parties

I guess I'm just too shy, I don't think that stuff is for me

I feel like my life is too boring, that I don't have many stories

So I'm sorry

But you'll never hear me talk about things

That other rappers talk about, like sex money and weed

After all I'm still a virgin at the age of 18

And that's okay with me

But when I tell other people

Their eyes get so big I can see myself in their pupils

Like "What?" What the hell are you a virgin for?"

"You got an 8 pack, pretty blue eyes, girls knocking at your door."

I guess the way I see it is different from everyone else

Because I want to be with a girl more-so for her than myself

Sex is toward the bottom of my priority list

Because I don't want that to define my future relationships

As far as money goes, I make it on my own

Working for 9 an hour at this store that's close to home

But I want more than that, and no I'm not talking about the money

And if you were one of my homies you'd probably think that's really funny

'Cause you'd hear me talk about how I want all this material value

You'd say "Oh, you want to own a lambo? Man we all do."

But those are just words I say when I'm around my friends

So I'ma let yall in my mind with this paper and pen

I want to walk out on a stage

With lights and cameras flashin'

My fans packed in, a large room, my tunes blastin'

That's my passion

I want people to relate to what's in my songs

So when they're havin a bad day

They can kick back and put me on

And I'm a long

Way from where I want to be

So for now I'll follow my routine faithfully

Because I know my time will come

And I'll seize the opportunity

And become the person I know in my mind that I want to be.
