Let your imagination fly
Don’t think about it don’t cry
Write about clocks or docks
Write about toes or a rose
No one can tell you what to do
Not even if their name is Sue
Write about fishers or wishers
Write about manners or planners
When you have nothing left to write
When thinking is quite a fright
When words give you quite a fight
When you have no time to recite
Remember the finish is in sight
Just let your imagination fly
It’s not like you’re going to die.
Just put a little effort in it
Who knows you might win it
Put your head in the game
Don’t worry ‘bout fame
Words flowing from this pen
They can be mine now and then
Looking at this paper
It’s flowing like water vapor
Let your imagination fly
It’s not like your being sly.
