Were All Different

we lived life in different pictures
diversity and we saw the mixtures and cops pulling the triggers
were part of something bigger
what happened to equality focused on stereotypes not the qualities
of a person we tried to make things better but it worsened
we saw different stories and different versions
as the years past by everything seems colder
no one seems to mature as they get older
ignorant people claiming that all we do is cross borders
to bring our bad habits to the states
but in reality all we did was escape
a place that made it difficult to put food on a plate
tell me what you see dont judge me on my skin color
because honestly were both human beings
were both in a struggle to succeed
we want a better living for our families
i hope you finally understand that despite what race i am
that your not better than someone thats diffrent from you
next time you take a look dont judge the cover actually read the book
because unfortunately we get took for granted for the way we look
so dont tell me what the stereotypes define me as
be proud of your culture
gain the exposure keep your composure
when will the brutality be over
keep your friends close but your enemies closer
were the drug dealers, heart less creatures
were the murderers the fucking cheaters
we were only beleivers
we were the preachers to the this generation
we were the motivation speakers
