You don't know me
You'll never know where I've been before
But that doesn't mean you ignore me
I'm not about what I've done in the past
Disregard the fact that I was top of the class
Cause all you can see is me on top of that ass
And I'm sorry
My condolences for what I did
But you tell me don't worry
What you've done in the past won't hold you back
Whilst you sharpening your knife for the sneak attack
Oh I worry, just trying to get my life on track
Instead of worrying about who's next
That's as bad as it gets
I was bleeding
And I've apologized for what I did
But to you I have never really bled enough
So you dump me in the red sea
and take my stuff
Oh yaint forgive me
This ain't about business
You can do this shit silently
But I see through the lies
The faulty disguise
I can see that you're mad
And if it ain't to much to ask
I've been thinking bout the past
Can we put it behind us
And not let it define us
Because were too young to die
Yet we're too old to cry
Second chances this the land of opportunity
Where we resemble the power of unity
So if we all stick together we'll come through this shit better
I promise this is the life of a working man
Your girl played the working girl
I never meant to come to this
And now its come between us
And though this feeling will never rust
Forgive me and we can live free
Or if not I'll be on the next bus
I'll be out of your hair
But it's not my fault that your girl never cared
Hold up
Come back
You don't understand
Shit gets outta hand and things happen man
Kick my ass on the street
And that shits hit the fan
I got a family man
It was 10 years ago
I was just 19 years old
And as youngin's we made the stupid choices
Embarked up the wrong trees
Got caught up in the wrong breeze
But it never got through to me
Until it finally struck me
10 years later
Sitting on the pavement
No money, no house
Whilst you sit there miserable
Thinking who really lost out
For me as I sit there
I pull out a pen
And on the last page of my diary
I label it one for the record books
But to you
It's another who's life you took
