I used to think the shadows would engulf me, I was traumatized,

God's insight was not present, through troubles of the homicide,

I saw Jesus Christ in gleaming lights in my Mama's eyes,

and on dreaming nights sleeping tight I needed to apologize,

to those of the oppressed and all my brothers in their struggles,

may we guide you through the valley through pains and troubles,

in the palm of God's hand may you stand, he's within us,

from the slaves to the masters, the oppressed and the sinners

 

May we stand inside your hand, in our land, treading water,

may you guide us through the pain and all the struggles and the slaughter,

and provide us with insight inside our minds through the pain,

may you leave us all with peace to bind together again,

may you breathe your life into the oppressed, when it rains,

it seems as if the clouds didn't care like we felt the same,

in the sky we see your vision, in the moon and in the stars,

may you guide us and provide us with insight to who we are

 

May your love flow through us all, and peace 'till the crescent moon,

guide us the brightest day, the darkest night and dreaded noon,

and help us through oppression and depression, it was meant to be,

aggression and the stressing, may we all forgive our enemies,

may our cups runneth over like the rivers and the streams,

may you guide us with your light, through the nightmares and dreams,

may we come together, share this world as one with no fights,

may we find the peace within us, find our souls and unite!
