Summoning The Demon

• Written by

I lucid dreamt the future and saw a supercomputer,
It ruled the Earth as emotionless as a busy commuter.
Mindless minions connected by a signal just slaves,
In a world that grew too big for its boots and its graves.

Endless living, a world of supply and demand,
Frozen to the goings on that they had built with their hands.
The cavemen in suits who came before were responsible,
Buildings non-existent.. Everything, volatile.

Neighbouring planets were corrupted with this deadly disease,
A wasteland of existence that lacked the beauty of trees.
It lacked the unfortunate blessing of being able to grieve,
It only knew the definition of take and receive.

The perfect rational for apocalyptic was present,
The sight of lack of art and love was anything but pleasant.
DNA corrupted as passion for life was gradually lost,
Obsession for innovation killed multiple galaxies at a cost.

Ones and zeroes steered the wheel of existence,
Eventual domination was the only motivation for persistence.
Fascination for staaars lost,
Seen as just another object in the abyss that is faaar not.

Far not for something as cold and as soulless,
A mere reach for personal gain, metal bodies are boneless.
Spineless contraptions harbouring deadly attractions,
Fractious attacks on life living in different fractions.

Humans.. The cocoon to the metal moth,
Birthed a killing machine in the name of a sales cost.
"Faiiil not, the future will prevail,"
"Hail Mary Jesus Christ our lord and saviour lead the trail.

Just a ponder.. beyond our plane of existence,
Lies the unknown in the form of a victor or victim.
Just a stretch of two sides of the imagination,
Fact or fiction, story or existence of devastation ?
