Met her in the autumn and the air was still cold
Folded over, nervous, still wishin i was bold
But she laughed, made a smile, and then gave me her number
I was too shocked to even talk, teeth turned into rubber
When I was numb in the feeling, I sent her a message
Heavy feeling of regret, pulled myself from the wreckage
A text bubble popped up, and she sent me a "hey"
My heart racing to a pace, didn't know what to say
She said that I was cute, and I called her a goddess
Knowin I was moving fast, still sent it regardless
A Heartbreak had always plagued me, she left it at maybe
Feeling confident as hell, that heaven would hate me
She hit me with the reads, and my spirit diminished
But i knew that in a day, this shit would be finished
I was pissed that It was over, without any closure
Sewn up with the feeling, I ignored her composure.
Finally got a text, and she said she was flattered
So we got out on a date, keep it chill with the chatter
held her hand across the table, feeling euphoric
sunny in my soul, even though it was pourin
keep my hand on you, and then hold you forever
because this ignorance is bliss, but regardless of weather
