I'm here to recognize my potential

I'm here to emphasize, influential monumental truths

Transcendental grooves that hip-hop like hooves

We got the moves (we are the roots)

I'll let you tag along if you know where to look

I think I'm moving on and I'd like a good book for company

A fat hook in front of me

One last look is all I need;

I'm here to get my kicks

I'm here to let the genes mix

I'm here to create a superhero with a new bag of tricks

I am a riddle baked into the middle

Of life's beautiful tapestry and I'm playing the fiddle

Brightly and proud, unsightly and loud

Get out of town and don't make a sound

I'm disappointed in you and you seem to hate me right back

But I'm unscathed despite wars waged, and I have you to thank

I think that's plenty in today's day and age

Why can't I ask for better than minimum wage?

The worst they can say is no

Don't burst when the highway's slow

Just be happy about the miracle of your occurrence

Just be happy and shout; be aware of your observance

Your followers, your clan

Your family, your slang

Your relationships and your dear old uncle Sam.

 

You used to be hip but now you're outdated and slow

You ran a tight ship, put on an impeccable show

But now you are wrinkled, old, set in your ways

Nothing wrong with age or the occasional haze

Unless it becomes a hurdle

Unless it makes its way internal

Unless it says, I am infernal

In that case I'd never gravitate to you

In that case I'd never caffeinate my brew

Let's get back to the basics, get back to the earth

Just ask why you hate this and give that a wide berth

It's a matter of priority and customizing preferences
